Adele Hello Self Love Beauty

If you haven’t been listening to Adele’s new single “Hello” on constant replay, then take six minutes to appreciate how flawless Adele is. This is a single that we have waited four long years for.

The Video

The music video for “Hello” is a classic example of why we love Adele so much.

It is beautiful in its simplicity. No crazy costumes, backup dancers, pyrotechnics, etc.

Adele is always authentic. She is focused on her vocals, her story, and her message. The simplicity in which she shows us her story encapsulates a part of all of us. We can picture ourselves in her situation, which is why we always feel so deeply along with her.

Also, no one looks as gorgeous in a giant fur coat as Adele and her beautiful old soul.

Adele has never changed to fit anyone else’s idea of what she should be. She has stayed completely genuine and lets her music speak for itself.

That Voice

Let’s just take a moment to appreciate how flawless, beautiful, unique, and true of a voice Adele has.

Four years and a new family later, she sounds just as we all remembered. Using her unique ability to connect us all to her story through her music, she brought us to tears with “Hello.”

Adele is currently number one on the charts and “Hello” is the first song to digitally sell over one million downloads in one week.

There was no better way for us all to say hello to her again than her surprise of this single dropping and hitting us all in the heart.

The Note

Before the video was dropped, Adele sent twitter into frenzy when she released this note.

She put into words something that so many of us struggle with every day. Wishing our life away.

Wishing we were older, were younger, were better, had a different job, loved more, or loved less.

“Wishing I’d waited and wishing I’d hurried up as well.”

How would we feel if we stopped wishing and started living? Be present in the moment, love as often as we can, chase our dreams now instead of later, and let ourselves learn who exactly we are.

That’s what Adele said she did. Made up for lost time.

“This one I would call a make-up record. I’m making up with myself.”

We can’t go back and change what we’ve done, or what we haven’t done. We can, however, recognize what we’ve done and what we want to do differently next time. Instead of wishing, make it happen.

“25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realizing. And I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened.”

Who have we become without realizing it? Isn’t it time to say hello to ourselves?

25

Adele’s new album 25 will be released earlier than any of us could’ve hoped for. November 20. The countdown begins, only a few weeks away!

I can almost hear the album cranked up in my car already.

Adele not only has an extraordinary voice, but makes us feel something through her music. We feel love, loss, heartbreak, joy, and fear along with her. So on November 20, let’s make up with ourselves along with Adele as we sing along to her album and continue to grow and find ourselves, as she has.
