Mother & Daughter Event

Self Love Beauty (SLB) is bringing their Mother & Daughter event for girls ages 6-18 and their female mentors (including biological, adoptive, step, and foster parents, grandparents, aunts, or others in the community serving as a mentor) to the Freeland Sports Zone in Freeland, MI from 6:00pm-8:00pm. This event will focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and help to build confidence and strengthen the connection between child and mentor.
Expect an engaging night filled with STEM-based activities, confidence-building exercises, and opportunities for stronger connections. Participants can anticipate adaptable activities suitable for all ages and skill levels. Incorporating STEM activities encourages girls to explore new interests within a supportive environment, potentially sparking future STEM careers. SLB facilitators will guide participants through confidence-building, communication enhancement, and relationship-strengthening activities.
The cost is $25 per adult and $15 per child, which includes:
• Entry to event with dinner included
• Activities focused on STEM, confidence, and connection
• A project to complete and take home
