Lisa’s Story

Lisa is the empowering woman behind Self Love Beauty Consulting and Self Love Beauty non-profit.

Her story begins by her childhood in a small town in Michigan, where she was surrounded by fields, farms and great people. After graduation she headed off to Michigan State University to attend college with the dream of becoming a sports broadcaster. After some soul searching and finding more about her passions, Lisa graduated with a bachelors in Communication and a specialization in Public Relations.

After graduation Lisa landed a job with a fortune 50 company, where she led communication strategies with top executives. Lisa found throughout her career that her continued passion for writings, being involved in the community and helping others continue to grew. Lisa was the editor in Chief of The Odyssey Online and still is a contributor writer for her own blog Self Love Beauty as well as Elite Daily, Thought Catalog and more! She has been a fitness instructor for more than four years helping those around her grow in physical and mental condition.

With her passion to help others, since 2013, Lisa has been a lead of Reach Out LaFond, a non-profit that provides education for children in Haiti. She has made several trips to Haiti in the hope to continue to help this community grow and sustain. In 2018, Lisa along with five other empowering women, created a non-profit called Mid Michigan Eating Disorder Recovery Alliance (MMEDRA), to bring resources and education on eating disorders to their community.

Lisa’s journey continued as she grew in confidence and self-love. She grew her brand to become known as a leading self-love mission-based company and she became a self-love expert and coach.
